Video: Darlene Love performs 'Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)' on 'The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon'

Darlene Love joined Jimmy Fallon, The Roots and Anna Kendrick to perform the classic holiday song "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) on "The Tonight Show staring Jimmy Fallon" in his classroom instruments routine. Love performed the song with Fallon and Kendrick on background vocals.

Love has performed the song on "The Late Show with David Letterman" show every year since 1986 until the end of the show in 2014.

For the past three years, Love has performed the song on "The View."
 "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" was written by Ellie Greenwich and Jeff Barry and produced by Phil Spector. The song recorded by Love and was included on the holiday album "A Christmas Gift for You" from Philles Records in 1963.

According to Love, it was David Letterman who helped make "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" stand out. Letterman's band leader, Paul Shaffer, had known her from work together on a Broadway revue which lead to her first appearance on the show.

Love went through a tough time in the business which lead her to work cleaning houses and singing in church and in retirement homes. at one time.  She ended up winning a share of royalties from her 1960s hits, had a successful acting career and was featured on the Oscar-winning documentary "Twenty Feet From Stardom." Now,

She tours the world singing his Christmas classic and her latest album"Introducing Darlene Love" which was produced by Steven Van Zandt.
