NAACP Image Awards 2018: Yvette Nicole Brown talks nomination and New Edition (Video)

The 49th NAACP Image Awards will air on TV One on Monday, January 15, 2018, the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday with a One-Hour Live Red Carpet Pre-Show.  "Black-ish" star Anthony Anderson returns as host.

This year the nominees for Entertainer of The Year are Ava DuVernay, Bruno Mars, Chadwick Boseman, Chance the Rapper, Issa Rae and JAY-Z.

The NAACP Image Awards is the preeminent multi-cultural awards show celebrating the accomplishments of people of color in the fields of television, music, literature, and film, and also honors individuals or groups who promote social justice through creative endeavors. 

TV Music Network was on hand at the and spoke with the nominees at a luncheon. Check out the video to see our interview with Yvette Nicole Brown. She talked about The Mayor, The New Edition Story and being nominated and more. Brown is nominated for Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance for her work in “Elena of Avalor” from Disney Junior.
