Synopsis: In the aftermath of the BP oil spill, an idealistic but imperfect New Orleans politician (Nicolas Cage) finds his plans of restoration unraveling as his own life becomes contaminated with corruption, scandal and deceit.

Directed and written by Austin Stark, the film includes dynamic performances by Nicolas Cage, Sarah Paulson, Connie Nielsen, Wendell Pierce, Bryan Batt and Peter Fonda..

"The Runner" opens in theaters nationwide on Friday, August 7. The film is not yet rated by the MPAA. The Running Time is 90 minutes.


'Batman Day' returns 9.26.15

Move over Comic Book Day and May 4th! DC Entertainment is bringing back the fan-favorite event celebrating The Dark Knight. “Batman Day” will take place on Saturday, September 26, 2015. The event honors all things Batman from comics to video games and more. Fans will be invited to participate in festivities with thousands of comic book shops, bookstores, schools, libraries and other retail partners participating in the bat-centric event.
Those who visit select comic stores, libraries and bookstores on “Batman Day” will also have the opportunity for meet-and-greets with premier DC Entertainment talent.  
“Batman Day” partners including, Warner Bros. Consumer Products with licensees Capstone, Penguin Random House, Scholastic, and DK Publishing, as well as Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Warner Bros. Television, will provide unique retail and digital promotional tie-ins across multiple media to celebrate the Caped Crusader.

WWE introduces YouTube gaming channel

WWE has introduced a new YouTube video gaming channel called "UpUpDownDown."  The channel is hosted by WWE Superstar and avid gamer, Xavier Woods or by his handle “Austin Creed.” 
Woods will have YouTube celebrities, WWE Superstars and video game editors to help him talk  about everything in the world of gaming. 
WWE's YouTube videos have had more than 5 billion video views in 2014 and 6.4 million subscribers, making it the No. 1 Sports channel on the platform.  
Programming for UpUpDownDown will include:
  • UpUpDownDown Plays (Mondays) – A “Let’s Play” style show featuring Woods and other personalities playing through today’s hottest titles.
  • For the Lolz (Wednesdays) – Woods and others explore the vast worlds of popular sandbox games like Grand Theft Auto V, where just about anything and everything can happen.
  • Jump Scares (Fridays) – Delving deep into the horror genre, players push their intestinal fortitude to the limit by creeping through the industry’s most bloodcurdling games.
  • Superstar Savepoint (Saturdays) – Guests are tasked with jumping into a random game totally “cold,” and must help lead Woods to gaming glory in this unpredictable co-op experiment.
  • Gamer Gauntlet (Sundays) – Woods and friends challenge each other for more than gaming bragging rights, with losers suffering pre-determined penalties.
