Oscars 2020: Interview - 'The Irishman' producer Gerald Chamales on producing the nominated movie

The Irishman is nominated for 10 Academy Awards including Best Picture
"The Irishman" is going into Oscar Sunday with 10 Academy Award nominations.  The Martin Scorsese-directed Netflix film is up for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Supporting Actor (Al Pacino and Joe Pesci), Best Adapted Screenplay (Steven Zaillian), Best Production Design, Best Cinematography, Best Costume Design, Best Film Editing, and Best Visual Effects.

The movie stars Robert DeNiro, Al Pacino, Harvey Keitel, and Joe Pesci. "The Irishman" tells the epic saga of organized crime in post-war America told through the eyes of World War II veteran Frank Sheeran, a hustler and hitman who worked alongside some of the most notorious figures of the 20th century. Spanning decades, the film chronicles one of the greatest unsolved mysteries in American history, the disappearance of legendary union boss Jimmy Hoffa, and offers a monumental journey through the hidden corridors of organized crime: its inner workings, rivalries and connections to mainstream politics.

TVMusic Network caught up with the producer to get his thoughts on the movie's success and on working with Martin Scorsese. Check out the interview below.
